In view of the Verdi strike announced in Germany on 10 March 2025, disruptions to Air India ground operations and wheelchair availability may be expected. The following waiver is being offered: 

Applicable for passengers holding confirmed tickets for 10 March 2025 on DEL-FRA-DEL and BOM-FRA-BOM flight segments. Applicable only on 098 documents (e-ticket number starting with 098). 

Waiver:                                    

• Free one-time ticket change for revised travel dates until March 17, 2025, within the ticket's validity period. Any fare difference will apply.
  

• The waiver would not be applicable on cancellation or refund fees.

Starting 31 March 2025, Air India will be shifting its operations in Tokyo from Narita International Airport (NRT) to Haneda Airport (HND).

Effective 15 Dec 2024, the check-in counters at the London Heathrow Airport (LHR) close 75 minutes prior to scheduled departure for international flights.

The UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) introduces eVisa – a digital immigration system. Due to which, starting 31 December 2024, Biometric Resident Permits (BRPs) and Cards (BRCs) will no longer be valid and will not be issued after 1 January 2025.

Passengers travelling to Australia with a new passport must update the details on the Home Affairs site to link new details to the visa or application.

Air India flight operations on the Bengaluru to London route have shifted from Gatwick airport (LGW) to Heathrow airport (LHR). In view of this, passengers holding confirmed tickets from Bengaluru to Gatwick and vice-versa, issued for travel from 27th October onwards will receive a full waiver on cancellation. Web check-in is unavailable for passengers booked on Air India Express (I5) domestic codeshare flights. Please do check-in at the Air India Express counter at the airport.

Effective 10 Sep 2024, check-in counters for International flights from Delhi Airport will close 75 minutes prior to flight departure. We request passengers to report to check-in counters well on time.
